<p>Promyde® BF840 is an experimental copolyamide with a reduced melting temperature and a high renewable-raw-material content. Bio-based carbon content: 53.3 ± 0.17 % (ASTM D6866-21, method B). The base molecule is derived from plant sources that <strong>do not compete with food agriculture</strong> (unlike corn-based PLA) — typically sebacic acid from castor oil and other technical bio-components.</p>
<p>Developed specifically for <strong>cast and blown film extrusion</strong> as a bio-based alternative to standard PA film grades. It combines three parameters critical for film: high transparency (minimal light refraction and haze), a reduced melting temperature (155–160 °C — 60–65 °C lower than a PA6 film grade, which cuts processing energy costs) and a low crystallization rate (low curl and stable film geometry on high-speed lines).</p>
<p>Typical parameters: density ~1.12 g/cm³, melting temperature 155–160 °C (Tm), Tg ≈ 40–50 °C, water absorption ~3.5 % at saturation (significantly lower than PA6 at ~9 %). Oxygen barrier — on the order of 30–60 cm³·µm/(m²·day·bar) at 23 °C / 50 % RH (typical of PA copolymer film), i.e. 200–500 times better than LDPE and 50–100 times better than PP.</p>

<p>Examid® PA12 E-V0 is an extrusion grade of polyamide 12 with a UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant modification (typical halogen-free phosphorus-based FR system, free of bromine and antimony). Designation: E — extrusion grade, V0 — UL 94 V-0.</p>
<p>PA12 is the &#8220;lightest&#8221; of the engineering polyamides: density 1.01 g/cm³ (1.1–1.3 times lower than PA6/PA66), with water absorption of only ~1.5 % at saturation (6 times lower than PA6, which absorbs ~9 %). This gives a unique combination: dimensional stability in humid environments + hydrolysis resistance in hot water + the best fuel and glycol resistance among polyamides. The PA12 base molecule is synthesized from ω-laurolactam (12 carbon atoms in the chain), which provides high flexibility and a low melting temperature (Tm 178 °C — 40–80 °C below PA6/PA66).</p>
<p>PA12 feedstock can be partially or fully bio-based, depending on the supplier. The original Rilsan® (Arkema) is 100 % bio-based (from castor oil); VESTAMID® (Evonik) is petrochemical-based. Examid® PA12 E-V0 is the MW grade with confirmed V-0 flame retardancy for extrusion applications.</p>
<p>Typical parameters: density 1.01 g/cm³, Tm ≈ 178 °C, HDT/A ~50–55 °C (ISO 75-2, 1.8 MPa), Tg ~50 °C, continuous service temperature ~80–90 °C, water absorption ~1.5 % at saturation (vs PA6 ~9 %), Charpy impact strength retained down to −40 °C without significant loss. UL 94 V-0 at 1.5 mm (IEC 60695-11-10).</p>

<p>Promyde® B33 P2 HI is an extrusion grade of polyamide 6 (PA6) with impact modification and heat stabilization. Grade designation: B — medium-viscosity extrusion/injection grade, 33 — relative viscosity η_rel ≈ 3.3, P2 — second generation of the processing profile (improved processing stability), HI — High Impact (impact modification).</p>
<p>It is developed for parts and products operating under dynamic, impact and cyclic loads with possible temperature rises or contact with aggressive media. Its key niche is extruded products: monofilaments for technical ropes and nets, mechanical-purpose profiles, and medium-pressure hoses with requirements for burst resistance and repeated flexing.</p>
<p>Typical parameters (PA6 HI grade): density ~1.12 g/cm³, notched Charpy impact strength ~12–15 kJ/m² at 23 °C and ~6–8 kJ/m² at −30 °C (ISO 179-1eA — modified PA6 retains low-temperature impact strength twice as well as unmodified PA6), relative viscosity ~3.3, Tm 220 °C, continuous service temperature up to 90 °C (dry). The stiffness reduction after impact modification is ~20–30 % vs standard PA6 (a typical trade-off).</p>

Promyde B40 P2 U0T is a polyamide 6 with high mechanical strength, heat-stabilized for extrusion applications. Its halogen-free flame-retardant system raises its fire resistance to the V0 level.

<p>Promyde® B33L is a medium-viscosity injection molding grade of polyamide 6 (PA6) with an internal lubricant. Grade designation: B — medium-viscosity injection/extrusion grade, 33 — relative viscosity η_rel ≈ 3.3 (96 % H₂SO₄), L — lubricated (internal lubricant to ease part demolding and reduce friction during melt flow).</p>
<p>It is positioned as a universal workhorse PA6 for a broad range of series-produced molded and extruded technical parts: machine building, non-structural automotive components, electrical housings, household appliances. The lubricant shortens the molding cycle time and reduces tooling wear, and also eases the demolding of parts with complex geometry without distortion. Base flammability class UL 94 V-2 (self-extinguishing, but with possible flaming drips) — do not use in FR-critical applications (for V-0, see the dedicated FR grade).</p>
<p>Typical parameters (standard medium-viscosity PA6): density 1.13 g/cm³, η_rel ≈ 3.3, MFR ~12–18 g/10 min (275 °C / 5 kg), HDT/A ~60–75 °C (ISO 75-2, 1.8 MPa; conditioned at 4–5 % H₂O), Tm 220 °C, continuous service temperature ~80 °C (dry), decreasing to ~60 °C at moisture saturation. Water absorption at saturation ~9 % (typical for PA6).</p>

<li>High water absorption (~9 % at saturation) — parts change dimensions and lose up to 30–40 % of stiffness in service in humid environments; for moisture-resistant applications, consider PA610, PA12 or PPA</li>
<li>Food contact — the presence of the lubricant requires separate certification of the finished product per FDA / EU 10/2011 (migration testing)</li>
<li>Gas barrier properties of PA6 are higher than those of PE/PP (on the order of 1 cm³·mm/(m²·day·bar) for O₂) but lower than EVOH and PVDC; multilayer structures or EVOH are needed for high-barrier packaging</li>

<p>Examid® PA6 R40 is a high-viscosity extrusion grade of polyamide 6. Designation: R40 — relative viscosity η_rel ≈ 4.0 in 96 % H₂SO₄ (significantly higher than standard injection PA6 with η_rel 2.7–3.3). High melt viscosity is critical for processes where the material must hold its shape after leaving the extruder until it fully cools and crystallizes — extrusion of profiles, monofilaments, pipes and sheet, as well as rotational molding (rotomoulding) of large hollow parts.</p>
<p>The high-molecular-weight structure of PA6 R40 provides increased strength, wear resistance and resistance to repeated flexing — the material does not crack under cyclic loading even after long-term service. It is the workhorse for serial production of engineering PA6 semi-finished products in Ukraine and Europe.</p>
<p>Typical parameters: density ~1.13 g/cm³, η_rel ≈ 4.0, MFR <8 g/10 min (low — normal for extrusion), tensile strength 75–80 MPa (dry), tensile modulus 2.8–3.0 GPa, elongation at break 30–80 %, Charpy notched impact strength 4–5 kJ/m² at 23 °C, Tm 220 °C, continuous service temperature up to 90 °C dry. UL 94 V-2 (standard).</p>

<li>The high water absorption of PA6 (~9 % at saturation) remains</li>
<li>High viscosity requires higher processing temperatures and greater screw torque — injection molding requires powerful equipment and is only suitable to a limited extent (for injection, Promyde® B33L or Examid® PA6 NC are better choices)</li>
<li>Continuous service above 90 °C is not recommended</li>
