Polyamide 66 Reinforced with 30 % Carbon and Glass Fiber — Examid® PA66 CFGF30
Description
Examid® PA66 CFGF30 is a high-performance polyamide 66 reinforced simultaneously with 30 % carbon and glass fiber. This hybrid composition combines the advantages of both reinforcement types: carbon fiber provides a high tensile modulus, while glass fiber improves impact strength and resistance to deformation failure.
The material is specifically designed for structures operating under high mechanical loads, where a combination of stiffness, precision, low water absorption and reliable processability is required.
Examid® PA66 CFGF30 demonstrates stable molding even in thin-walled and geometrically complex molds. Unlike traditional glass-filled PA6 and PA66, this compound retains its properties better under exposure to moisture and temperature, making it optimal for use in variable climates and under multi-component loading.
Key advantages
- Increased stiffness and strength: thanks to reinforcement synergy
- Hybrid reinforcement: carbon + glass fiber
- Improved melt flow: better processability in molding
- Reduced water absorption: stable properties in humid environments
- High dimensional stability: minimal post-molding deformation
- Suitable for metal replacement: in critical load-bearing assemblies
Applications
- Lightweight load-bearing structures in aerospace and robotics: frames, brackets, guides
- Automotive components with critical tolerances: mounting brackets, covers, supports
- Complex molded parts with intricate geometry: technical components with thin walls
- Metal replacement: in parts where weight, precision and creep resistance are critical
