Glass-Filled Polyamide Examid PA12 GF50-FWA

Description


Polyamide 12 with 50% glass fiber content, a special FWA grade (Food-Water Approval) — approved for contact with drinking water. The glass fiber type is selected in accordance with KTW/W270 sanitary requirements.


It does not release harmful substances into hot or cold water and retains its properties in long-term service.

Applications


Automotive industry: engine components and cooling systems. Fuel systems and tanks: low moisture absorption and chemical resistance make it suitable for fuel tank production. Housings and covers.


Mechanical engineering and industrial equipment: gears and gear drives. Bearings and bushings. Pump and compressor housings: high chemical resistance and hydrolysis resistance make it suitable for pump and compressor housings operating in aggressive media.


Electronics and electrical engineering: housings for electronic devices. Insulation components. Connectors and plugs.


Medical devices and equipment: sterilizable equipment: hydrolysis resistance and high strength make the material ideal for equipment that requires frequent sterilization.


Industrial and consumer goods: sports equipment: low moisture absorption and high wear resistance allow the material to be used for sports equipment and hardware such as water meter housings and pneumatic system fittings. Tools and fasteners: high strength and stiffness ensure reliable, durable tools and fastening elements.
