Description


A radial styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer (SBS) without oil extension — a thermoplastic elastomer with a branched (radial) macromolecular architecture. Its high styrene content and the absence of process oil provide increased strength, cohesion and clean, controlled rheology. The material is supplied as pellets or crumb and is compatible with industrial mixing lines for bitumen modification, compounding and the production of adhesive formulations.

Applications

Bitumen modification (PMB) and road construction. Increases the deformation resistance and temperature range of binders and extends the service life of asphalt pavement, especially on heavily loaded roads and in regions with sharp temperature swings.

Compounding and polymer modification. Used as an impact modifier and compatibilizer in formulations based on polyolefins and styrenic matrices.

Adhesives and sealants (hot-melt). A base polymer for hot-melt adhesives (HMA, HMPSA), tapes, label adhesives and construction sealants — provides cohesion without plasticizers.

Roofing and waterproofing membranes. A component of bitumen-polymer mastics and roll materials.
