Styrene-butadiene-styrene elastomer SBS KUMHO KTR 401

Description

SBS Kumho KTR 401 is a styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) thermoplastic elastomer with a radial (S-B) molecular structure. The material is used as a bitumen modifier and in the production of adhesives and footwear. It offers high strength, elasticity and stability, making it versatile for various industrial applications.

Advantages:

  • High strength
  • Elasticity
  • Resistance to environmental exposure
  • Non-oil-extended — rubber without added processing plasticizer oils, which gives more stable mechanical properties and broadens the range of applications
  • Good compatibility

Applications:

SBS Kumho KTR 401 is used across many industries thanks to its unique properties. The main application areas include:

Bitumen modifier: Improves the strength, elasticity and durability of bitumen mixes used in road construction and waterproofing.

Adhesives: Provides excellent adhesion and elasticity, which is important for industrial and construction adhesives.

Footwear: Used in the production of soles and other footwear components requiring high strength and flexibility.
