Linear styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer EN CHUAN 701 S

Description

EN CHUAN 701 S is a linear styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer (SBS-NOE) from En Chuan Chemical, developed specifically for modifying road bitumen and roofing materials. The proven 3.5% dosage meets road-industry requirements for polymer-modified bitumen (PMB) blends, increasing penetration at low temperatures and the softening point at high temperatures. An analog of Kraton D 1184 in road-binder applications.

Key properties

  • Linear SBS architecture — optimal for bitumen modification
  • Proven 3.5% dosage for typical PMB formulations
  • Non-oil-extended (NOE) — clean dissolution in bitumen
  • High elasticity and recovery after deformation
  • Extended service temperature range of the binder
  • Compatible with other modifiers and resins

Applications

Road construction (PMB). Bitumen modification for asphalt concrete pavements — improved deformation resistance, rutting resistance and extended pavement service life. Analog of Kraton D 1184 in road binders.

Roofing and waterproofing membranes. Bitumen-polymer mastics and roll materials (torch-applied roll waterproofing membranes).

Plastics modification. Impact modifier for PE, PP and PS — improved flexibility and tear resistance.

Mastics and protective coatings. Bitumen-based anti-corrosion and anti-abrasion coatings.

Footwear compounds. Soles for work footwear.
