General-Purpose Injection Molding Polyamide 66 Technyl A218

Description

Polyamide 66 is a polymer with a whole range of useful physical and mechanical service properties. It is an engineering crystallizing material with high mechanical strength and high hardness. The material is resistant to high dynamic loads and has good electrical insulation properties. PA66 parts are resistant to automotive fuel, greases, hydrocarbons and petroleum products.

Advantages

  • excellent anti-friction properties
  • high heat resistance and serviceability at elevated temperatures
  • good melt flow
  • fast solidification
  • short cycle time
  • in recycling, up to 10 % regrind can be added to virgin material without changing the physical and mechanical properties of the polymer
  • can be used for subsequent reinforcement
  • high heat resistance
  • high resistance to deformation
  • resistance to hydrocarbon products

Applications

Used in mechanical engineering, the textile industry and medicine. Films made from this material are durable, impermeable to water and steam, and are used as food packaging and insulation. Polyamide 66 is used to produce strong, water-resistant clothing, strings for musical instruments, sports equipment (hockey goalkeeper masks) and much more.
