Injection molding polyamide 610 with low water absorption
Description
This is an injection molding thermoplastic with excellent mechanical characteristics and outstanding electrical insulation performance. This polyamide grade has little tendency to deform under extreme temperatures and humidity, and also offers high resistance to oils and gasoline.
Thanks to these qualities, virtually any parts made of injection molding grade polyamide 610 can be used without change in mechanical characteristics in the temperature range from minus 60 to plus 70 degrees Celsius. Polyamide PA 610 is a polycondensation product of hexamethylenediamine and sebacic acid. It is distinguished by a high degree of elasticity, a lower tendency to absorb moisture compared with polyamide PA 6 and PA 66, and good electrical insulating properties. Parts made of injection molding polyamide PA 610 can be operated without loss of mechanical properties in the temperature range from minus 60 to plus 70 degrees Celsius, including electrical insulation parts operated at low and medium frequencies.

Applications
It is used to manufacture structural parts, bushings, liners, miniature gears, spool valves and sealing collars; in addition, it is used to make a wide variety of electrical insulation parts for machine tools, equipment and power grids. It is used in structural parts operating under increased loads, temperature and humidity. The main application area is load-bearing parts performing anti-friction functions. It is also used in the production of high-precision parts, sports equipment, and in nuclear power, aviation and specialized industrial enterprises.
