High-elasticity injection molding polyamide Examid PA12

Description


A product of laurolactam polymerization. A crystallizing engineering material with increased elasticity. This type of material is produced both in neat form and with added colorants or plasticizers.

Advantages

  • low water absorption and low density
  • very high elasticity
  • high resistance to stress cracking and abrasion
  • high fatigue strength
  • low coefficient of friction
  • chemically resistant to greases, oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, solvents, hydrocarbons and alcohols
  • melting temperature is among the lowest of all polyamides, approximately 178 °C

Applications


Mechanical engineering and automotive manufacturing, protective coatings, nozzles, sealing rings, oil- and fuel-resistant pipes and hoses; used for cable jacketing as an insulating and protective material; in the textile and cosmetics industries and for the production of sporting goods.
