Low-Moisture-Absorption Injection Molding Polyamide PA610 (PA610-L)

Description

A semi-transparent crystalline material, partly derived from bio-renewable resources. It has low density, low water absorption, good impact resistance and high heat resistance. Technically, PA610 sits between the high-performance polyamide PA612 and the standard PA6 / PA66 polymers. It is widely used for monofilament production, industrial parts with high heat resistance, pipe extrusion and injection molding of high-duty parts.

Key properties

  • durability
  • very low moisture absorption
  • radiation resistance
  • weather resistance
  • fungus resistance
  • service temperature from -100 °C to 150 °C
  • ductility
  • fatigue strength

Applications

The material is used across all industries, including aerospace and defence applications. Its low moisture absorption ensures stable properties under any environmental conditions. The material costs considerably more than polyamide 6 and 66, but where uncompromising part reliability is required, choosing polyamide 610 is fully justified.
