Semi-Aromatic PPA/PA66 Blend, 50% Glass Fiber — Examid® PPA PA66 GF50 Y
Description
Examid® PPA/PA66 GF50 Y is a heat-stabilized semi-aromatic blend (PPA + PA66) with 50% glass fiber. The line's flagship overall: flexural strength of 380 MPa, tensile modulus of 18,000 MPa, HDT of 285 °C at 1.8 MPa, melting at 325 °C.
Flow shrinkage of 0.1% is precision-level. The electrical package is complete: CTI of 600 V, dielectric strength of 30 kV/mm, volume resistivity of 10¹¹ Ω·m — the material qualifies for power electronics and high-voltage connectors, including e-mobility.
Cold performance: Izod unnotched 80 kJ/m² at −30 °C. Part service range — from −30 to +200 °C with retained stiffness. Processing: melt 325–340 °C, mold 140 °C. The position covers Ultramid® Advanced / Grivory HT GF50-class applications at a substantial price advantage.
FAQ
Is it suitable for high-voltage connectors?
Yes: CTI of 600 V (highest IEC 60112 class) and dielectric strength of 30 kV/mm meet standard EV high-voltage connector requirements.
What does 0.1% shrinkage provide?
Precision tolerances and minimal warpage on complex geometry — critical for fine-pitch connectors.
Which analogs does it replace?
The Ultramid® Advanced N GF50 / Grivory® HT GF50 class — a comparable profile at substantially better economics.
