High-temperature reinforced polyamide Examid® PPA GF30 5VA

Description

Examid® PPA GF30 5VA is a reinforced polyphthalamide (PPA) specifically developed for service under elevated thermal, mechanical and regulatory requirements. The base polymer is a PA6T/66 copolymer reinforced with 30 % glass fiber and formulated with halogen-free flame retardants, which provides stable physical and mechanical properties over a wide temperature range and a high level of flame resistance.

The material is classified UL 94 V-0 (IEC 60695-11-10) at 0.8 and 3.0 mm thickness and also meets the 5VA rating, indicating its ability to withstand a vertical flame without dripping. The heat deflection temperature under load (HDT/A) reaches 282 °C, which allows the material to be used near heat sources for extended periods.
