30% Glass Fiber PA66, Black — Examid® PA66 GF30 BKT

Description

Examid® PA66 GF30 BKT is a black polyamide 66 reinforced with 30% glass fiber, ready-to-mold without coloring. A workhorse for housings and structural parts: tensile strength of 150 MPa (conditioned), flexural modulus of 8000 MPa, HDT of 255 °C at 0.45 MPa.

Unlike the natural PA66 GF30 Y, this grade comes in factory black with batch-to-batch shade consistency — eliminating masterbatch dosing and color-variation risk. MFR of 30 g/10 min (275 °C, 5 kg) is standard class flow.

The PA66 matrix retains stiffness at 120–150 °C where glass-filled PA6 gives up. Direct analog — Ultramid® A3WG6 BK: comparable mechanics with better volume-procurement economics. Processing: melt 280–295 °C, mold 100–140 °C, up to 20–25% regrind.

Black ready-to-mold PA66 GF30: consistent color without masterbatch

FAQ

How does BKT differ from PA66 GF30 Y?

Factory black instead of natural: no masterbatch needed, consistent shade across batches. Mechanics are on par.

Is it suitable for E&E?

Yes: GWFI of 650 °C (1.6 mm), UL 94 HB, volume resistivity of 10¹³ Ω·m — the standard set for switchgear housings and connectors.

Which Ultramid® grade does it replace?

Ultramid® A3WG6 BK (black PA66 GF30) — a comparable property profile.
