Exaflex TPU 95A thermoplastic polyurethane
Description
Exaflex® TPU 95A is an ester-based thermoplastic polyurethane with a hardness of 95 Shore A. It combines high tensile strength at break (42 MPa) with exceptionally high elongation of 572 % and an elastic modulus of 108 MPa — a combination rare for the 95A class, characterizing the material as stiff yet with pronounced elastic recovery.
Tear strength of 60 N/mm (ISO 34-1) and high damping characteristics make the material suitable for conveyor components, wear profiles, drive profiles and parts under cyclic loading. Very good low-temperature flexibility and resistance to mineral oils, greases and many solvents. As an ester-based TPU, it requires drying before processing to a residual moisture content below 0.02 %.
Key properties

Processing recommendations
Injection molding. Zone 1 — 185 °C, Zone 2 — 190 °C, Zone 3 — 195 °C, Zone 4 — 200 °C, nozzle — 195 °C.
Extrusion. Zone 1 — 180 °C, Zone 2 — 185 °C, Zone 3 — 190 °C, Zone 4 — 195 °C, die — 200 °C.
Drying. As an ester-based TPU, it requires mandatory drying at 80–100 °C for 2–3 h in a hopper dryer with fresh or dehumidified air. Residual moisture must be below 0.02 %.
