Mineral-Filled Polyketone — Exablend® POK MF25 S

Description

Exablend® POK MF25 S is a polyketone with 25% mineral filler for injection-molded functional parts with high surface quality. Unlike glass-filled grades, mineral filling provides isotropic shrinkage (1.4–1.6% in both directions) — parts stay flat and surfaces remain smooth without fiber show-through.

The mechanical profile is balanced for housing applications: tensile modulus of 2500 MPa, strain at break of 10%, high unnotched impact strength (60 kJ/m²). HDT of 190 °C at 0.45 MPa.

Minimal moisture uptake and the chemical resistance of the POK matrix make it a solid choice for housings, covers, pump and valve components where PA6/POM are limited by moisture or media. Processing: melt 235–250 °C, mold 80 °C, up to 25% regrind.

How is MF25 S better than POM for housings?
