30% Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyketone — Exablend® POK GF30 S
Description
Exablend® POK GF30 S is a polyketone reinforced with 30% glass fiber. A balanced structural compound: stiffness (tensile modulus of 10,000 MPa), tensile strength of 150 MPa and Izod notched impact of 13 kJ/m² — higher than most glass-filled PA6 and POM grades at comparable loading.
The main argument against PA6 GF30 is stability under humidity: the polyketone matrix absorbs almost no water, so part mechanics and geometry do not degrade in wet environments and require no conditioning. HDT of 200 °C at 1.8 MPa, low flow-direction shrinkage of 0.3–0.5%.
Chemical resistance to fuels, solvents and alkalis exceeds that of polyamides — a solid choice for pump components, valves and fuel-system parts. Processing: melt 235–250 °C, mold 80 °C, up to 25% regrind without significant property loss.
