Polyketone Exablend® POK GF30 NC, Reinforced with 30% Glass Fiber

Description

Exablend® POK GF30 NC is an aliphatic polyketone reinforced with 30 % short glass fiber (GF30), in natural color (NC, no colorants). It combines the core advantages of POK — virtually zero water absorption, chemical resistance to fuel/glycols and hydrolysis resistance — with the increased stiffness and geometric stability characteristic of glass-filled composites.

It is positioned as a structural alternative to PA66 GF30 in assemblies with constant moisture contact (PA66 GF30 loses up to 50 % of its stiffness at 5–7 % moisture absorption, while POK GF30 remains stable) and as a replacement for PBT GF30 where better resistance to fuel and hydrocarbons is required.

Service temperature: ~120 °C continuous, up to 140 °C short-term. HDT/A ≈ 200 °C (ISO 75-2, 1.8 MPa). Not intended for applications requiring UL 94 V-0 (standard GF30 NC is UL 94 HB) or for continuous service above 140 °C.

• Medium-duty gears and drive assemblies: gear wheels, bushings in power tool and drive gearboxes
• Conveyor systems for the food and chemical industries: chains, guides, contact elements resistant to detergents
• Household and professional appliances: structural components of washing machines, dishwashers and heating pumps
