Description

Styrenic TPE-S Dryflex 400501S is a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) based on a styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) block copolymer with an elastomeric butadiene mid-block and styrene end-blocks. It demonstrates moderate resistance to weathering, air aging and heat, excellent bonding to polypropylene (PP), good abrasion resistance and chemical resistance (except for organic solvents, aromatics and vegetable oils), good processability and colorability. It can be processed by injection molding and extrusion. Suitable for indoor applications and disposable products.

Applications:

Technical note: SBS elastomers (such as Dryflex 400501S) have limited UV and ozone resistance due to the unsaturated butadiene block. For long-term outdoor service under UV exposure, consider SEBS grades (the hydrogenated analogue) or TPV.
