<p>Elastron medical TPE compounds meet the specific needs of various medical equipment applications. Medical TPE grades are tested in accordance with USP 88 for in vivo biocompatibility and with ISO 10993-5 and USP 87 for in vitro cytotoxicity. Elastron offers compounds approved to USP Class VI; they also meet the requirements of European Pharmacopoeia 3.2.8 “Sterile single-use plastic syringes” and 3.2.9 “Rubber closures for containers for aqueous parenteral preparations, for powders and for freeze-dried powders”. Elastron medical TPE compounds can be sterilized by gamma irradiation, ethylene oxide (EtO) and steam. Compatible with PP, EVA, PE.
