A standard medium-flow injection grade of polycarbonate for precision thin-walled parts with high light transmission, impact strength and basic flame retardancy. The base formulation without UV stabilization is intended for indoor use. For outdoor applications, the UV-stabilized modification <strong>Exablend\u00ae PC 901<\/strong> is available.<\/p>\n<h3>Exablend\u00ae PC series \u2014 how to choose a grade<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Exablend\u00ae PC 900<\/strong> \u2014 base transparent V-2 for indoor use (this product card)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exablend\u00ae PC 901<\/strong> \u2014 UV-stabilized transparent V-2 for outdoor use<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exablend\u00ae PC GF 930<\/strong> \u2014 glass-filled PC GF30 for structural parts with increased stiffness and dimensional stability<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exablend\u00ae PC\/ABS 965<\/strong> \u2014 PC+ABS blend for parts with complex geometry and reduced water absorption<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Advantages<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>High impact strength over a wide temperature range (-40 \u2026 +120 \u00b0C) \u2014 characteristic of the PC class<\/li>\n<li>Light transmission of ~88 % with minimal haze \u2014 for optically clear housings and lenses<\/li>\n<li>V-2 out of the box without loss of transparency (a typical problem of FR additives in PC)<\/li>\n<li>Good flow for thin-walled housings of 1.0\u20131.5 mm<\/li>\n<li>Stable dimensions under humidity changes (water absorption 0.15 % vs 1.5\u20133 % for PA)<\/li>\n<li>Compatible with hard-coat coatings (Margard type, AR) for anti-scratch requirements<\/li>\n<li>Can be tinted in any transparent shades (transparent tinted) while retaining V-2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Limitations \u2014 honestly<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>V-2, not V-0.<\/strong> V-0 requires dedicated FR grades with minimal change in transparency (made to order)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Not for outdoor use<\/strong> in the base formulation \u2014 pure PC yellows under UV within 6\u201312 months.
