Grade designation: B \u2014 medium-viscosity extrusion\/injection grade, 33 \u2014 relative viscosity \u03b7_rel \u2248 3.3, P2 \u2014 second generation of the processing profile (improved processing stability), HI \u2014 High Impact (impact modification).<\/p>\n<p>It is developed for parts and products operating under dynamic, impact and cyclic loads with possible temperature rises or contact with aggressive media. Its key niche is extruded products: monofilaments for technical ropes and nets, mechanical-purpose profiles, and medium-pressure hoses with requirements for burst resistance and repeated flexing.<\/p>\n<p>Typical parameters (PA6 HI grade): density ~1.12 g\/cm\u00b3, notched Charpy impact strength ~12\u201315 kJ\/m\u00b2 at 23 \u00b0C and ~6\u20138 kJ\/m\u00b2 at \u221230 \u00b0C (ISO 179-1eA \u2014 modified PA6 retains low-temperature impact strength twice as well as unmodified PA6), relative viscosity ~3.3, Tm 220 \u00b0C, continuous service temperature up to 90 \u00b0C (dry). The stiffness reduction after impact modification is ~20\u201330 % vs standard PA6 (a typical trade-off).<\/p>\n<h3>Key advantages<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>High impact strength over a wide temperature range<\/strong> \u2014 remains serviceable under impact and cyclic loads from \u221230 \u00b0C to +90 \u00b0C<\/li>\n<li><strong>Heat stabilization:<\/strong> resistance to degradation during prolonged extrusion (1000+ hours in the melt zone without significant molecular weight loss), stable monofilament and profile quality in serial production<\/li>\n<li>Resistance to oils, gasoline, diesel, dilute alkalis and aliphatic hydrocarbons<\/li>\n<li>Resistance to repeated flexing and abrasive wear \u2014 suitable for ropes and cords with a long service cycle<\/li>\n<li>Can be colored with masterbatches during extrusion<\/li>\n<li>Processing versatility: extrusion of monofilaments, hoses and profiles; limited injection molding (due to increased melt viscosity)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Limitations<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Stiffness (tensile modulus) 20\u201330 % lower vs standard PA6 \u2014 for rigid structural parts consider Promyde\u00ae B33L or GF-reinforced grades<\/li>\n<li>High water absorption of PA6 (~9 % at saturation) \u2014 dimensions and mechanical properties change in humid environments; for marine and outdoor applications with long exposure consider PA610 or PA12<\/li>\n<li>UL 94 HB \/ V-2 depending on the batch \u2014 not for applications requiring V-0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Applications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Fishing nets and ropes:<\/strong> monofilaments for trawl and fixed nets, trawl ropes, lashings \u2014 long service in salt water and under impact loads against the hull and gear<\/li>\n<li><strong>Technical cords and ropes:<\/strong> rigging ropes, cords for exercise machines and sports equipment, sailing rigging, cargo lashings<\/li>\n<li><strong>Industrial monofilaments:<\/strong> brush filaments for road sweepers, card belts, technical filtration meshes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Extruded hoses and tubing:<\/strong> medium-pressure pneumatic lines (5\u201310 bar), low-pressure hydraulic hoses, protective tubing for wiring harnesses and optical fiber<\/li>\n<li><strong>Technical profiles:<\/strong> bumper trims, protective edges of industrial equipment, impact-resistant conveyor system profiles<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sports and protective gear:<\/strong> elements of hockey uniforms and boxing protection, shoe lacing, protective nets for sports grounds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Global equivalents: BASF Ultramid\u00ae B3K, Lanxess Durethan\u00ae B 30 S HI, DOMO Domamid\u00ae 27HI, Toray Amilan\u00ae TY-500NHI. Promyde\u00ae B33 P2 HI is the MW position for serial extruded products prioritizing impact strength and UV resistance.
