Designed for the production of packaging, agricultural and technical films by blown or cast (flat-die) extrusion, where stable opacity, rich whiteness and good dispersion without defects (&#8220;fish eyes&#8221;) are required. Economy grade: 25% TiO\u2082 + 43% CaCO\u2083 provides the optimum price\/opacity balance for high-volume packaging solutions.<\/p>\n<h3>Key properties<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>TiO\u2082 concentration <strong>25%<\/strong> + CaCO\u2083 <strong>43%<\/strong> in a PE carrier<\/li>\n<li>High opacity at a dosage of 3-8% of film weight<\/li>\n<li>Good dispersion \u2014 no &#8220;fish eyes&#8221; on thin films of 20-100 \u00b5m<\/li>\n<li>Compatible with LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, PP \u2014 standard blown\/cast lines<\/li>\n<li>Economy grade \u2014 optimum opacity\/price ratio<\/li>\n<li>UV stabilization with an additional UV-MB if required (for agricultural films)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Applications<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Packaging films.<\/strong> Polyethylene packaging for food and non-food products (sacks, bags, shrink film). Compliance with 10\/2011 (EU food contact for plastic packaging) \u2014 per individual batch specification.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agricultural films.<\/strong> White mulch films, greenhouse films with minimal sunlight transmission, silage films.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Construction films.<\/strong> White films for waterproofing, vapor barriers and temporary covering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical films.<\/strong> Stretch film, banding film, liner materials.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Injection molding.<\/strong> White parts for household appliances, molded packaging \u2014 economy grade.<\/p>\n<h3>Regulatory notes<\/h3>\n<p><strong>TiO\u2082 as food additive E171 has been banned in the EU since 7 August 2022<\/strong> (Regulation (EU) 2022\/63, based on the 2021 EFSA opinion that a safe daily intake could not be established due to nanoparticle accumulation). <strong>This restriction applies to food products, not to packaging films.<\/strong> The use of TiO\u2082 as a pigment in plastic packaging remains permitted under Regulation (EU) 10\/2011, subject to the Specific Migration Limit (SML) for food contact.
