The notched Izod impact strength of impact-modified polyamides at low temperatures can exceed that of the base material by tens of times.\r\n\r\nFlexibility and strength at a low price\r\n\r\nIn a number of cases, even at normal temperature a standard polyamide may have a low Charpy impact strength, which will affect the brittleness of the part. In such cases Material Wizard offers the cost-effective polyamide Examid 6\/66-E, which has substantially higher elasticity than base PA 6 grades.\r\n\r\nThe use of impact-modified polymers reduces costs during storage, assembly and transport.\r\n\r\nWhen designing parts and selecting a plastic, we recommend ensuring that the material properties match the operating and transport temperatures. Even if the part is used at room temperature, for example office furniture, pre-sale movement of the goods and warehouse storage may take place at sub-zero temperatures and cause increased brittleness of the part and a higher reject rate. Use reliable polyamides that offer high physical and mechanical properties at low temperatures and guarantee a high safety
